Oh the absolute soul of it all, could tell from seconds in and it just extends beyond all that late night in a classy joint playing to a singer who will have the audience in the palm of their hand. You know this is going at right angles from my usual listening habits and I don’t know if it is just me getting older but ‘Up and Down Through The Hills’ from Paris act the Shuffles just feels so perfect right now. The craft, the ambition, the nostalgia and the sheer joy of being immersed in a piece of music so carefree it almost feels medicinal. Faultless. KH
