Montreal-based LGBTQ indie-rock band FLEECE changed up their sound on their new song, Stay At Home Boy, by incorporating electronic instruments – an attempt to channel pop artists such as Doja Cat and Charli XCX. Its groove is irresistible, making you want to move constantly. Like fireflies on a summer night, the melodies flutter through the air. The vocals are dynamic and of high quality.
The lyrics pay homage to introverts everywhere. It’s about having your own party. FLEECE penned this one in 2021 when the only option they had was to party by themselves, and even now, these lyrics still resonate on a Monday, Tuesday, or Saturday night.
