Singer-songwriter Amy Asher drops her new single, Denial, in conjunction with the EP Grieving Someone Still Alive. The song has rock-inspired production with hints of alt-pop. Stellar guitar riffs hang continuously with solid drumming to accompany them. The vocals remain relatively calm, which allows the lyrics to breathe.
Denial depicts a scenario where the Amy’s best friend/roommate confesses their romantic feelings, but she doesn’t reciprocate those feelings. Due to this, the friend decides to move out and stop communicating with her. She had never been so close to someone and was very much in denial about the fact that they were no longer friends.
