Oslo-based artist TULLE has made a lot of gothically-tinged pop over the last few years, but she’s ready to try out other genres now. This is why she chose an alternative approach for her latest single, Can’t Be Saved. We’d describe it simply as indie folk mixed with country. Strumming guitar, lap steel, and atmospheric synths grace the arrangement elegantly. The outro plunges into experimental terrain, and comes as a surprise.
Can’t Be Saved talks about questioning yourself and your faith when everything around you says you’re not everything you thought you were. In a situation like this, you may find it difficult to cope with emotions But at the end of the day, accepting life as it is is generally the best course of action.
