Bringing 60s power pop back to life, Australian outfit Scared of Sharks have released new single ‘2nd Jingle Idea’.
Hailing from the edge of the world in Mogareeka, New South Wales, the band harnesses some of the UK’s greatest icons like The Kinks and The Beatles whilst bringing in grungy garage rock ‘n’ roll into the mixer.
Scared of Sharks surf onto the stage with a vibrant and infectious energy. With an effortless blend of laid-back vibes and electrifying stage antics, they effortlessly captivate audiences with their raw authenticity.
‘2nd Jingle Idea’ is the fourth single from Scared of Sharks since their formation in 2021 and boy is it a good one. It feels like an old-school classic with a refreshingly modern twist as frontman Taylor Schwifty’s bold vocal presence gives the song that punchy, in-your-face feel.
Schwifty said: “I wrote ‘2nd Jingle Idea’ one arvo when I was back down in Mogareeka after listening to nothing but You Am I for a coupla days. I wouldn’t say it’s about anything specific, with the verses covering different things to the chorus’ and a fair amount of nonsense scattered throughout. So I guess it’s one of those songs that’s up for interpretation.”
Balancing raw passion with a playful spirit, Scared of Sharks craft an experience where every moment feels like a wave crashing into euphoria. Don’t miss out on their one-of-a-kind stage presence — it’s a journey you’ll want to dive into again and again.
