Fleur bleu-e deliver an early emo sound out of France. Their new single “pillow wet” fits in with the likes of Sunny Day Real Estate, Jets to Brazil, Texas is the Reason, with a modern tinge. The song’s lyrics are just about as emo as they come, being about someone who is seeking self-liberation and mental clarity, but always finds their pillow soaked with tears of disappointment. The guitars echo in perfect tone throughout the track, serving as great of a purpose as the softly sung vocals. The band will be on a West Coast United States tour this summer.
