Baby Said – WHO GIVES A ROCK (EP)

Baby Said, formed by Italian/Punjabi sisters Veronica (19) and Jess Pal (17), have considerable talent. There’s a special spin to their rock-based music. Other acts don’t offer the same kind of sound as they do. So, yes, you can set your expectations as high as possible.

WHO GIVES A ROCK, the duo’s debut EP, delivers on its promise. The first track, Panic Attack, talks about the sensations you might feel when having a panic attack as well as how someone with anxiety deals with their daily lives and how it affects them. Big drums and guitar accompany the thematic content.

Mouth Shut revolves around simply liking someone from the outside. The moment they start talking, everything just falls apart. This is why it’s better if they don’t say much, preferably nothing at all. In the same vein as the opener, the instrumental is euphoric, but it also leaves enough room for the vocals to flourish.

With You Killed It, the EP maintains a high standard. The lyrics in this song came to life due to a unique way of putting them down. Did it work? The answer is yes, since they are phenomenal. Producing-wise, this is also the most experimental track on the project.

Fight ends things powerfully. It recounts experiences the band had while being a cover act. On multiple occasions when they were performing, some group of men didn’t believe the duo was truly performing and doubted their musical expertise. This led them to feel compelled to cut their set short in order to prove their talents directly to the skeptical onlookers.

In conclusion, Baby Said has plenty of stories to tell. It’s undeniable that they empower. They show that you must pursue your dreams. And they’re 100% correct. The future looks bright for these two already.
