Following on from the release of her highly-praised debut album, So Vanilla, last year, which was released via tastemaker London-based label Speedy Wunderground, London-based Austrian-Brazilian artist Viji is set to release a new deluxe edition. The re-release will include a collection of brand-new remixes and acoustic renditions of several fan favourites.
The deluxe version of So Vanilla is set for release on July 5th, including three new remixes by Vanilla, Me Jesmay, and Dan Carey and three acoustic reworkings of the album’s singles. Today, Viji has released ‘Sundress In Pink (Acoustic Version)’, alongside its live performance video. She says on the track:
for the stripped back session of ‘Sundress In Pink’ we got to use the beautiful showroom at Fender. Shooting there was really special, there’s a beautiful stained-glass window in the background and we got to use all of the custom shop guitars. We were like kids in a candy shop!
Since the album’s initial release, Viji has maintained a busy schedule with numerous sold-out live performances worldwide. This includes UK tours alongside Baby Queen, Citizen, and Drug Church, alongside ten shows across Austin, an appearance in LA, and showcases at The Line Of Best Fit’s Five Day Forecast, Eurosonic, Simple Things Festival, London Calling, and Printemps de Bourges festival in France. Additionally, Viji is gearing up for a series of UK tour dates alongside acclaimed Australian pop duo, Royel Otis, which begin next week:
9th July – O2 Academy Bournemouth
10th July – O2 Academy Oxford
11th July – Foundry, Sheffield
12th July – Arts Club, Liverpool
