Singer-songwriter EMI WIDE hops back on the electropop train with her new single, Boy Tears. Catchy and playful beats imbue this track with energy from the get-go. The chorus features some gritty textures. The vocals are sassy, specially during the second half, which ensures enough variety.
Boy Tears notes humorously that many boys are conditioned to hide their emotions and not show sadness. However, the song is trying to say that’s not necessarily a healthy way for them to deal with their feelings. Crying and being vulnerable with how you’re feeling is okay.
