StreetWave Media presents an exclusive interview with Love Language style musician, Jack Titus located in Las Vegas. After our interview, check out the music linked below…
1. What made you decide to jump into the music industry or music business?
Music has always been my outlet for self-expression. I decided to pursue it professionally because I wanted to share my stories, connect with others, and create something meaningful that resonates with people on a personal level.
2. What do you think makes you stand out from all the other aspiring and upcoming artists in your genre of music?
I combine heartfelt storytelling with global influences from my cultural heritage and travels. My sound balances emotional vulnerability and universal themes, making my music both deeply personal and widely relatable.
3. If you could collaborate with ANY artist/band… Who would you choose and why?
I’d love to collaborate with Ariana Grande. Her ability to convey raw emotion through her voice and lyrics is unmatched, and I think our styles would blend beautifully to create something timeless.
4. What do you think is your biggest Advantage and your biggest Disadvantage about being an Indie artist?
My biggest advantage is the creative freedom to stay true to my vision. My biggest disadvantage is the challenge of balancing creative work with the business side, such as marketing and funding projects.
5. Do you prefer the Independent route or would you rather sign to a major record label, and why?
I enjoy the independence right now, but I’m open to signing with a major label if it aligns with my artistic vision. A label could provide greater resources and reach, but creative control is crucial to me.
6. Out of all the songs you’ve released, what do you think is your Best song and why?
Love Language is my best song so far because it captures a universal feeling of connection in an intimate and poetic way. The blend of Pop and R&B elements truly showcases my growth as an artist.
7. Do you miss the era of CD sales OR do you prefer the new wave of music streaming? Explain…
Streaming has revolutionized the way artists can reach global audiences, and I appreciate that accessibility. However, I miss the tangible connection of CDs and the excitement of reading liner notes.
8. Between creating in the studio OR performing live on stage, which is your most enjoyable one and why?
Performing live is my favorite. There’s nothing like the energy and connection I feel with an audience during a show. It’s an incredible exchange of emotion and passion.
9. During your entire journey through the music business, what would you consider your Worst experience?
One of the toughest moments was dealing with self-doubt early on when my first release didn’t get the attention I hoped for. It taught me patience and the importance of persistence.
10. What would you consider your most successful or proudest moment in your music career, so far?
Releasing When We Were Us and seeing the heartfelt reactions from fans was a proud moment. Hearing how my music has touched lives makes all the hard work worthwhile.
11. If any, what discourages you the Most about the music industry these days?
The overemphasis on algorithms and social media trends can be discouraging. It sometimes feels like music takes a backseat to numbers and virality.
12. What inspires you the Most about the music industry these days?
The ability for independent artists to build platforms and reach audiences globally without needing traditional gatekeepers is inspiring. It shows that talent and authenticity can still shine through.
13. If you weren’t in the music business or industry, what do you think you would be doing with your life instead?
I’d probably be involved in storytelling in some way—maybe writing novels or creating visual content like short films.
14. In your own opinion, What is the current music scene like in your local area?
Nevada’s music scene is diverse, blending everything from electronic sounds in Vegas to folk and indie music. It’s a melting pot of creativity and talent.
15. What is your latest release and where fans can find it?
My latest single, Love Language, is available on all streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
16. What is on your agenda or what can fans expect to see from you in 2024?
I’m working on an EP that dives deeper into themes of connection and growth. Fans can also expect more live performances and a music video for Love Language. Stay tuned for exciting collaborations too!
