Pigeon Pit Wraps Listeners in the Glow of Youthful Ambition

Pigeon Pit has been on fire recently, releasing two irresistibly catchy new singles. Pigeon Pit has always had an authentic sound that revolves around story-telling lyrics, upfront vocals, and organic instrumentation. Personally, I can’t get enough of folk punk classics like “Nights Like These” and “Wichitalk.” Their raw lyricism and the rhythmic vocal delivery never fail to hit the mark.

Pigeon Pit is gearing up to release their 4th LP, titled Crazy Arms, and these new singles are definitely on par with their greatest hits. Meaning, Pigeon Pit fans can definitely look forward to more great music coming their way on January 17th. The record will also be available in vinyl format, limited to 300 copies. Fans can pre-order a limited edition vinyl here.

Pigeon Pit’s latest release, “bronco,” delivers an unforgettable punch with its irresistibly catchy chorus and a powerful gang vocal section. The real standout, however, is the lead electric guitar, weaving magic into the track. During vocal breaks, the guitar riff shines, offering fans another hook to latch onto. Lomes Oleander captures the song’s essence with a clever refrain: “Like a bronco, I was made to ride your highs and lows.”

The track evolves from a folk-inspired melody into a full-blown pop-punk anthem, with distorted guitars dominating the soundscape. Oleander’s rapid-fire delivery maintains tight rhythm and brims with raw emotion, elevating the energy from start to finish. “bronco” is sure to be another fan favorite from the band.

“Bronco is about being psycho. The whole album, but especially ‘Bronco,’ is about being a crazy bitch, about being dragged all over the place by the things that haunt us, by all the pieces of us we can’t control.”  – Frontwoman, Lomes Oleander

Before dropping “bronco,” Pigeon Pit treated fans to another gem: “keys to the city.” From the moment you press play, this track sets an undeniable vibe. It captures the spirit of being young in a big city, with all the excitement and possibility that comes along with that. Lomes Oleander’s laid-back vocal delivery perfectly channels this feeling to listeners, her warm tone radiating gratitude and inspiration. One line summarizes this feeling, “It’s gonna be another late night: Whatever makes you feel alive,” leaving listeners wrapped in the glow of youthful ambition and late-night adventures.

“Keys To The City is about being a part of the living flesh of the city, having fun in sketchy ways, the ways that make you feel real and excited to go out at night.” – Frontwoman, Lomes Oleander
