Glasgow’s Humour have returned with ‘Neighbours,’ a powerful post-hardcore track, marking their first release in nearly two years. The single follows the band’s critically acclaimed EPs, Pure Misery (2022) and A Small Crowd Gathered To Watch Me (2023), both released through So Young Records. After a year dedicated to writing and refining their sound, Humour has delivered a raw and intense track that signals a bold evolution.
‘Neighbours’ represents a significant step forward for the five-piece, showcasing a darker and heavier sonic landscape than their previous work. This release delivers on the anticipation, demonstrating the band’s commitment to pushing their creative boundaries and exploring new sonic territories.
Frontman Andreas Christodoulidis says of the single,
Neighbours is about a guy who lives alone but is convinced that a group of mischievous creatures share his flat, deliberately doing things to make him suffer, like turning off the heating in winter, or turning it up when he’s too hot and making noise in the kitchen when he tries to sleep. As he gradually descends into paranoia and psychological instability, he decides to try and get rid of them by turning the oven on and letting gas fill the flat overnight.
Fans can expect more new releases from Humour throughout 2025.
