FORAGER is a Brooklyn based band, fronted by Shyamala. Their new single, Split Lip, tackles the mixed signals society throws at women about motherhood. Shyamala is clearly conflicted, with one side angrily resisting the role of mother, but another side is curious about it all. You can feel the internal struggle and tension through the poetic lyrics. I love the production of this song.
