Irish alt-rock band Search Results have announced the release of their upcoming album, Go Mutant, slated for May 23rd. Coinciding with the album reveal, the band has released a new single, “Be Laurel,” offering listeners a preview of the album’s sound. The announcement also includes a schedule of UK and Ireland tour dates, including appearances at prominent festivals.

Of the single, the band’s Fionn states,

A testament to my baby years and time spent with my wonderful granny, watching old movies and laughing our hearts out to Laurel and Hardy

Jack continues,

I don’t remember writing, playing or recording that song. complete blackout everytime

The 13-track album, clocking in at under 35 minutes, is described as both frantic and precise, showcasing the band’s diverse influences, ranging from the play “Abigail’s Party” to the experimental sounds of Thinking Fellers Union Local 282. “Go Mutant” aims to establish Search Results as a singular and compelling act, channeling the spirit of rule-breakers and world-builders, from Kurt Vonnegut to the “On Cinema at the Cinema” series.

The band’s upcoming tour will include performances at The Great Escape Festival and End Of The Road Festival, marking significant milestones in their burgeoning career. Search Results have garnered attention since the beginning of 2025, with notable performances at Eurosonic and The Line Of Best Fit’s 5 Day Forecast. Search Results is comprised of Jack Condon and Fionn Brennan, a duo recognised for their distinct onstage chemistry and musical interplay, characterised by an almost “telepathic” connection and a playful approach to live shows.
