Canadian alt-rock band The Beaches have announced their third studio album, No Hard Feelings, scheduled for release on August 29th via AWAL. Simultaneously, the band has unveiled the album’s lead single, “Last Girls at the Party,” offering fans a preview of the upcoming record’s sonic direction.

Of the single, the band’s frontperson and bassist Jordan Miller explains that it’s an ode to the band’s late nights,

We’re four crazy girls who like to have fun together, and are literally always the last to leave.

“Last Girls at the Party” features an anthemic chorus, characterised by the refrain, “While you’re sleeping, we’re not leaving.” Beyond its surface as a party anthem, the song is interpreted as a metaphor for the band’s resilience and enduring presence in the music industry. The track’s instrumentation, driven by a prominent guitar hook and steady rhythm, provides a backdrop for Miller’s vocal delivery. A notable bridge section, featuring the refrain “I don’t want to go home,” builds tension before transitioning into the chorus.

No Hard Feelings, comprising 11 tracks, showcases The Beaches’ refined musicality and diverse stylistic range. The album is reported to explore themes of nightlife, relationships, and personal loss, all conveyed through the band’s signature blend of witty lyricism and grunge-influenced instrumentation. Tracks such as “Touch Myself” and “Lesbian of the Year” are cited as examples of the album’s dynamic soundscape. To celebrate the release of “Last Girls at the Party” and the forthcoming album, The Beaches are hosting a series of invite-only DJ sets, accessible to fans who pre-save No Hard Feelings.
