Oklahoma-based band Broncho have released two new singles, “Get Gone” and “Think I Pass,” as a preview of their highly anticipated album, ‘Natural Pleasure,’ their first full-length release in six years, due out next Friday, April 25th.
Since their 2014 breakout hit “Class Historian,” Broncho has garnered a dedicated following, including endorsements from music legends Josh Homme, Jack White, and Hayley Williams, and their music has been featured in acclaimed shows like HBO’s ‘Girls’ and FX’s ‘Reservation Dogs.’ Following their 2018 album ‘Bad Behavior,’ ‘Natural Pleasure’ is described as a kaleidoscopic dreamscape where lo-fi textures meet psychedelic wonder. A defining characteristic of Broncho is Ryan Lindsey’s distinctive vocal delivery, often enigmatic yet conveying pure emotion, connecting listeners viscerally even before the lyrics fully resonate.
Known for their meticulously crafted sound, Broncho’s latest offerings showcase the band’s diverse musical palette. Following the “Mazzy Star–struck lilt” previously noted by Pitchfork in their singles “Imagination” and “Funny,” “Get Gone” emerges as a late-night anthem primed for energetic dance floors, festival stages, and spontaneous home parties. In contrast, “Think I Pass” adopts a more subdued and sweetly-toned approach, yet remains hypnotic through Lindsey’s unmistakable vocals. Lindsey describes the track as “probably a celebration of learning to say no,” a personal reflection on his tendency to default to “yes.”
To support the release of ‘Natural Pleasure,’ Broncho will embark on an extensive North American tour starting this June with a hometown show in Tulsa. The band will bring their highly praised live performance, featuring tracks from the new album and their entire discography, across the United States. Tickets for the tour are currently on sale.
