TRANZ PANIC: Love Bailey and Raquel Starr’s Fierce Battle Cry for Trans Liberation

Love Bailey and Raquel Starr have teamed up for TRANZ PANIC, and honestly, as a trans person, this is the only kind of content I want to see this 4th of July. I don’t want to see celebrations of America. I want to see protests. TRANZ PANIC is that.

The video opens with Love Bailey standing in front of an Americana flag. It feels like she’s about to recite the National Anthem, but she gives it her own spin, and Rock the Pigeon is totally here for it: “I pledge allegiance to the TRANS despite the fascist state of America…One Nation serving cunt.” Yes, Queen!!!

2025 has been an unfortunate year for trans people. In just six months, over 900 anti-trans bills have been introduced in state legislatures. Trans people across the country are losing access to life-saving, gender-affirming care. Trans military members have been discharged by the fascist president and his corrupt administration. With ICE deportations on the rise, things just seem to keep getting worse. Protest music and trans joy are exactly what we need more of and Love Bailey and Raquel Starr are here to deliver, while fiercely serving cunt.

TRANZ PANIC is everything I needed to hear and experience right now as a trans person. It’s electronic and experimental, but it’s also punk—thanks to the protest themes and raw authenticity. The music video features trans people in a biker gang fighting against an alt-right MAGA mob, a metaphor for what’s happening in real life.

“We will not be silent while our rights are under attack. I poured all my fear, fury, and hope into this video. It’s our rallying cry – a glittery middle-finger to those trying to erase us. And it’s just the beginning. With our upcoming film The Battle for Transmecula, we’re turning my real-life fight into art that empowers our community. This is more than entertainment; it’s a movement.” – Love Bailey

Biography: Love Bailey (she/her) is a queer transgender artist, designer, performer, and cultural visionary known for her boundary-pushing creative activism. In the worlds of fashion and music, Bailey has collaborated with iconic names such as Lady Gaga, Naomi Campbell, Nicki Minaj, Fiona Apple, Rihanna, Azealia Banks, and Britney Spears, among others. She is the founder of Savage Ranch, a 60-acre queer artist sanctuary in Southern California’s Inland Empire – a “discrimination-free creative space” for marginalized artists to live, work, and find community. Through her art collective and production house (Slather Studios), Bailey channels her passion for advocacy into multimedia projects that champion LGBTQIA+ voices.

As an outspoken activist, Love Bailey has been at the forefront of local and national fights for LGBTQIA+ rights. In her hometown of Temecula, CA, she has boldly opposed efforts to silence queer visibility – speaking out against the school board’s recent ban on Pride flags (and policy to out trans students) in schools and rallying for the removal of bigoted public officials. Whether on the streets, on stage, or onscreen, Bailey continues to use her platform to uplift her community and demand equality with charisma, creativity, and an unshakable resolve.
