The Cribs have returned with their new single “A Point Too Hard To Make”, the latest preview of their forthcoming album Selling A Vibe, set for release on 9th January. Alongside the track, the band have announced a huge outdoor hometown show at Leeds Millennium Square on 11th July 2026. Tickets for the event go on pre-sale this Wednesday 29th October at 9am, with general sale following on Friday 31st October.

Of the single, Gary Jarman states,

All that 2000’s damage, basically. Small-town romantics – years spent longing for connection, escape, excitement – given in abundance, for an entire decade. What do you do when the party is over? Where does it leave you? We will let you know if/when we get there. We’ve still got each other though. That’s what this one is about, a bit of a kitchen-sinker, really.

Their first full-length record in over five years, Selling A Vibe sees the Wakefield trio revisit their roots with renewed purpose. Following the rapturous reception to August’s single “Summer Seizures”, the new track finds the band blending chiming guitars and the unmistakable dual vocals of Gary and Ryan Jarman — a hallmark of their sound since the early days. The single’s emotional undercurrent and themes of reconnection between brothers mirror the heartfelt moment captured at the close of the track’s accompanying video.

Both a nostalgic nod and a forward push, “A Point Too Hard To Make” captures The Cribs at their most reflective and resilient, a fitting lead-up to what promises to be one of next summer’s most anticipated homecoming shows.
