youcallmecarla is Carla Freude (she/her), a twenty-two-year-old singer/songwriter from the south of Germany. Her most recent release, halloween, reflects on a past relationship that started when she was seventeen. At the time, she viewed it through a lens of fantasy and idealism. Over time, however, she came to realize that what she once believed to be true love may have been an illusion.
