James Artissen (born James Allen Worthy, March 28, 1992) is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, and audio engineer who specializes in contemporary, and alternative R&B. Raised in Atlanta, Georgia he began pursuing a music career at age sixteen. James is best known for his collaborations with artists like Robin S, 112, Meek Mill, Fetty Wap, Whodini, Tynisha Keli, and many others. Artissen also established the label imprint Humble Sound Records in 2024 as a joint venture with The Orchard, a division of Sony Music.

What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
It’s always been a passion of mines, but also my escape from the world.

Michael Jackson, Whodini, A Tribe Called Quest, Kanye West. Just to name a few.

Yes. I am signed to 3rd Eye Recordings/Universal Music Group
What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
People overlooking me, and not seeing the vision early on.
How many songs or albums have you released to date?
I have released 4 EP’s so far.
Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
My latest release is a collaborative single called “Down 4 Whatever” with rapper Bigg Baggz. It is a Hip-Hop, R&B style record describing there are no boundaries in love, and pleasure.
Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
Yes. I have a upcoming EP called “THE ART DEALER”, and also my upcoming debut album “Nevermind What U Said” coming this year!
