Brighton quintet AtticOmatic have announced their second EP, Between Two, arriving March 20. Accompanying the news is the lead single ‘Burrow’, a sullen, heavy cut that blends grunge-leaning shoegaze with slowcore textures. Centred around the songwriting partnership of Kamran Kaur and Lorcan Forder, and featuring members of Flip Top Head, the band’s sound is deeply influenced by themes of grief, ageing, and navigating adulthood with Autism and ADHD. ‘Burrow’ serves as a “paean to the safety of seclusion,” capturing the impulse to retreat from the world into a self-made sanctuary.

Kamran says:

“‘Burrow’ is about wanting to burrow into the ground and hide until the world feels safe again. Last year jaded me and that’s exactly how the people destroying the world want us to feel. So I try not to be pessimistic, but I guess I let myself be just for this one song.”

The EP’s title is a direct translation of the Tibetan word ‘Bardo,’ referring to the transitional space between death and rebirth. Sonically, the four-song set aims to inhabit that middle ground, drifting between “luxuriant textures” and the “scars and bruises” of everyday life.

Following widespread acclaim for their debut EP Fold the World, the band is set for a significant live run in 2026. They will support The Orielles across South West England this winter, followed by their own headline shows in March and a slot at Dot to Dot Festival in May.
