The UK’s premier family event, Camp Bestival presented by Debenhams, has officially unveiled its 2026 lineup, transforming Lulworth Castle into the ultimate “festi-holiday” destination from 30 July to 2 August. This year’s 18th-anniversary celebration is headlined by a historic Sunday night finale: the first-ever Fatboy Slim & Friends Castle Stage takeover. Longtime festival friend Norman Cook will curate an entire day of “feel-good vibes,” featuring a high-profile set from hip-hop royalty De La Soul. They join a heavyweight roster that includes Saturday headliners Bastille, making their festival debut, and a powerhouse Friday double-bill of pop force Self Esteem and living legend Billy Ocean.
Curators Rob and Josie da Bank have designed the 2026 edition to encourage families to “ditch the screens” in favour of immersive, hands-on creativity. New for this year is The Allotment, a horticultural hub featuring five greenhouses and a Vegetable Museum, alongside Taskmaster Education sessions, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre workshops, and even beekeeping classes. These new additions complement festival staples like Dick ‘n’ Dom’s legendary Bungalow Rave, the Slomo Wellbeing Festival, and appearances from CBeebies icons Mr Tumble and Blippi.
Musically, the weekend remains as eclectic as ever, featuring a 30th-anniversary celebration from Hospital Records, indie-rockers Black Grape, and a nostalgic “At The Seaside” fancy dress theme. Whether it’s learning to bake at the Earth’s Crust Bread School or catching Example warming up the main stage, the 2026 program cements Camp Bestival’s reputation as a world-class blend of music, education, and outdoor adventure.
