Lost Lot returns with Noah, a reflective folk offering that captures the beauty of growing up and the sense of possibility that comes with it.
Lost Lot – Noah
Rooted in warmth and sincerity, the track highlights the band’s ability to frame personal moments through carefully considered songwriting.
Hailing from the North East of England, Lost Lot operate within an alt-country framework shaped by Americana and indie rock touches. Formerly known as Matt Dunbar & The Autonomous Collective, the project evolved into Lost Lot as collaboration became central to their creative direction. The band’s name is inspired by The Great Glorious Goddamn of It All, a reference that mirrors their lyrical interest in love, identity, and mental health.
Their influences span a wide spectrum, drawing inspiration from artists such as Brandi Carlile, Wilco, Fleetwood Mac, Jason Isbell, R.E.M., Deacon Blue, Kathleen Edwards, and Bruce Springsteen. These references help contextualise the band’s sound without overshadowing their own voice. Taking all of this into account, it’s only natural that their latest single, Noah, showcases Lost Lot’s thoughtful songwriting. Written for Matt’s nephew, the track explores the beauty of growing up and the choices that shape the paths ahead.
From the opening chords, Noah carries a sense of nostalgia that suggests an introspective direction. While it begins in that space, the track gradually shifts, musically transforming into something brighter and more joyful, unfolding into a blissful sound guided by its endearing lyrics.
Noah is a heartfelt aural celebration of growing up, made even more engaging through its charming instrumentation.
More Lost Lot material is already in the works, with several singles lined up for release throughout 2026. If heartfelt folk speaks to you, this is a band worth following closely.
