Lindsey Jordan, the creative force behind Snail Mail, has unveiled ‘My Maker’, the second single from her highly anticipated third album, Ricochet. Set for release on March 27 via Matador Records, the track serves as the record’s emotional anchor, featuring spaced-out mellotron swirls and Jordan’s soaring vocals. The accompanying single-take music video, directed by Jordan and Elsie Richter, sees the singer in a hot air balloon, a visual literalisation of lyrics that contemplate mortality, fate, and the freedom that comes with realising fate is out of your hands.

Of the single, Lindsey states,

“My Maker” was the lyrical jumping off point of the record, the anchor that helped me build the rest of the album around it. I kept thinking about the line “it’s just sky,” which obviously meant we had to make a video in a hot air balloon. It took six canceled rides for that to happen, but we finally got up there. I wanted the video to reference the lyrics about mortality, but also about the freedom that comes with realizing fate is out of your hands.

The release follows the grunge-heavy lead single ‘Dead End’ and precedes a massive world tour kicking off this spring. Jordan is set to hit major North American stages, including the Brooklyn Paramount (April 15) and The Wiltern (May 1), before heading across the Atlantic. For UK fans, the tour culminates in a highly anticipated performance at London’s Electric Ballroom on June 25, 2026, marking her first major return to the city since the Valentine era.
