French Exit is a four-piece alternative rock band, and their fifth single, ‘Waited a While,’ is an absolute delight. The track bursts open with a bold, attention-grabbing clash of guitars, immediately setting the tone.
A smooth, silky bass line carries the song forward as the lyrics glide effortlessly over the powerful instrumentation. The result is a confident, cohesive blend of sound, musical bliss from start to finish. The brotherly love of Will and Toby Langston flows through their tracks. The creative partnership forms a solid foundation from which to propel. The band has had great success with BBC’s Music Introducing, having three previous releases aired. They attribute a lot of their success to the production of Roger Andrew Humphrey (the man behind the Twin Peaks sound). This is their third collaboration with him.
French Exit look to demonstrate their live presence with their upcoming show on Saturday, 18th April at the Blue Posts in Soho, London. French Exit is a band to watch out for. An accomplished outfit with a production quality, sound and visual identity to take them far.
