Glasgow’s rapidly rising quintet Tanzana have returned with their second single, ‘Pulse, Pose, Position,’ out now via a joint release from SO Recordings and Hideous Mink Records. Following the momentum of their debut ‘Covet,’ the new track finds the band leaning into a more delicate and intimate soundscape. Built around shimmering guitar work, melodic bass lines, and precise drum sequences, the single serves as a sophisticated showcase for the group’s songwriting depth.

Of the single, frontwoman Freya Talbot states,

“‘Pulse, Pose, Position’ is about celebrating your inner child, to nurse and to cradle it. The envy of youth and innocence as we grow old to relive glorified memories of childhood.”

The release arrives just as Tanzana’s live reputation reaches a tipping point. Having already shared stages with Lucia & The Best Boys, the band is set to join Madra Salach on a UK tour starting later this week. With early support from tastemakers like The Line Of Best Fit and Clash, as well as airplay from Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music, the group is perfectly positioned for a massive summer. Their upcoming festival circuit is already packed, featuring highly anticipated debut slots at both The Great Escape and Glasgow’s own TRNSMT.
