“I Don’t Know You” wastes no time, opening with a guitar riff so fun and immediately infectious that the listener is hooked before the first verse even arrives. The vocals lean pop but carry clear influences from pop punk and rock ‘n’ roll, sitting perfectly on top of a track that radiates pure high energy from start to finish. The bass line is a standout, locking in so tightly with the drums that the rhythm section feels like one unstoppable force driving the whole song forward. The entire band plays in great harmony, and that collective tightness gives the track a cohesive, electric feel that is hard to shake. Sonically, “I Don’t Know You” lives firmly in 80s glam rock and glam metal territory, with soaring riffs and punchy drums that would have fit right in on a sunset strip stage in 1985. It is an absolute blast of a song, catchy and fun and built for a crowd with their fists in the air.
