Fraser Morgan Drops Vibrant New EP ‘Songs About Girls’ & Heads On Massive UK Tour

Rising alt-folk artist Fraser Morgan has unveiled his dynamic new EP Songs About Girls. Currently part wya through a mammoth 35+ date run across the UK, including highly anticipated stops at Boomtown and Leestock, Fraser is delivering on the feverish hype he’s already built.

A colourful celebration of modern storytelling, Songs About Girls showcases Fraser’s distinctive fusion of punchy rap delivery, pop hooks, and folk-inspired instrumentation. Produced in collaboration with long-time creative partner Joel Scrimshaw and recorded at Myopia Music Rooms, the EP builds on the buzz of his previous releases but marks a noticeable shift in tone. Where his last project I Hope You Can’t Relate offered introspection and gravity, Songs About Girls brings playful energy, heartfelt charm, and an unmistakable sense of fun.

“I’ve been really excited to get this EP out for a long time,” Fraser shares. “In complete contrast to my previous EP, Songs About Girls is an extremely playful, light-hearted one which navigates friendship, platonic love, heartbreak, and unrequited love.”

Laced with Celtic instrumentation, mandolins, violins, and even cowbells, the EP is a vibrant, genre-blending offering that doesn’t shy away from emotional depth, but wraps it in wit, melody, and rapid-fire rhymes. The result is an infectious collection of tracks that reflect Fraser’s unique sonic approach and lyrical style—equal parts sincere and cheeky.

A true DIY success story, the EP was funded by more than 70 supporters who smashed the crowdfunder target in under 24 hours—proof of the growing fanbase Fraser has cultivated through relentless gigging and connection with his community.

“That blew my mind,” he says of the support. “So many people cared so much about the music I create. This summer, I’m doing the biggest tour of my life at some of the UK’s biggest festivals. I really can’t wait to get stuck in, get this EP out, and start meeting and connecting with people.”

With over 1,000 live performances already under his belt—including a sold-out show at Colchester Arts Centre—Fraser has built a loyal following across the UK’s grassroots and festival circuits. Whether performing solo or with his band Fraser Morgan & The Great

Catastrophes, his live sets are notorious for their energy, emotion, and unpredictability. His performances channel the storytelling edge of Frank Turner, the charm of Jamie T, and the offbeat soulfulness of Nizlopi—while remaining distinctly his own.

The 2025 tour takes Fraser across the country, including appearances at Bearded Theory, Hidden Door Festival, Cottingham Folk Fest, Leigh Folk Festival, and The Green Gathering. He’ll also support folk-punk legends Mad Dog Mcrea and Dan Donnelly of The Levellers, bringing his emotionally resonant, joyfully chaotic shows to even wider audiences.
