Perspective, one of the UK’s most exciting new bands, have just dropped their self-written and self-produced 11-track debut album, Look Both Ways, a project two-and-a-half years in the making.

Featuring KG (Lead Vocals), Liam (Bass), Ezra (Drums), and Riccardo (Guitar), the record showcases a fresh blend of funk, disco, pop, and indie energy that is distinctly their own.

“The songs were all written and finalised from a present perspective – looking back at moments in time and understanding them through where I am now. It’s about taking some of life’s biggest challenges and recognising the growth that has come from them.”

What began as an experiment, merging classic 70s funk and disco with modern pop production and experimental textures, has evolved into a collection of modern funk-pop anthems. KG’s personal storytelling drives much of Look Both Ways, with lyrics that span love, trauma, hope, identity, and personal growth, unfolding almost like chapters in a book.

“We chose this selection of tracks from everything we wrote to tell a story. We wanted the album sequenced in a way that could be listened to from beginning to end with no skipping. It’s an album that works in many different scenarios—whether you’re partying or just having a chilled night in.”

With Look Both Ways, Prospective. bring a fresh and vibrant take on funk, bringing elements of Jamiroquai with moments of theatrical prog inspired rock to create something striking and unique.
