Australian producer and artist Ninajirachi has unveiled her most expansive UK and EU headline run to date, marking a major milestone in the wake of her acclaimed debut album I Love My Computer. The March tour will see her perform in Paris, Glasgow, Dublin, Manchester, Brighton, London and Bristol, with select dates joined by Glasgow-based DJ and producer KAVARI and Sydney experimental dance artist Laces.
The announcement follows a breakout year that saw Ninajirachi’s live presence rapidly grow on an international scale. Her Australian and US Dark Crystal tour sold out months in advance, while her first run of UK and EU shows drew strong demand, including a London date that sold out weeks ahead of her debut album and ‘London Song’ release. The upcoming tour also comes ahead of her debut appearances at Coachella and Primavera Sound.
Released last August, I Love My Computer has been widely hailed as a generational debut, earning the Australian Music Prize and triple j’s J Award for Australian Album of the Year, alongside Australian Music Video of the Year for ‘Fuck My Computer’. The record debuted at number one on both the Australian Albums and Vinyl Charts, with widespread praise from outlets including Pitchfork, the Needle Drop and BBC Radio 1. As The Guardian succinctly put it: “Ninajirachi is having a dream run with her debut album I Love My Computer.”
