Disgusting Sisters Return with Warped Electronic-Pop Anthem ‘Calvin Klein’

The rapid ascent of Disgusting Sisters continues with the release of their third single, ‘Calvin Klein’. Built on a warped synth pulse, the track serves as a chaotic electronic-pop meditation on romantic trade-offs, using a notorious drug cocktail as a metaphor for finding the middle ground between the “nice guy” and the “arsehole.” Since forming accidentally over a bottle of wine and a Twin Peaks binge on Christmas 2024, the real-life sibling duo, Jules and Josie, have vaulted from total novices to a festival-season staple, gracing stages at Reading and Leeds, Pitchfork Paris, and The Great Escape.

Of the single, the duo state,

There’s two different kinds of guys in life – there’s either the guy who’s really nice but kind of boring, or the one who’s a complete arsehole with a huge ego but at least he’s fun. Every time you’re with one, you want to be with the other but Calvin Klein is the perfect mix of the two.

Raised between the UK and France and named after a choice insult from Succession, the duo splits their time between London and Paris, blending a shared obsession with horror movies and emo nostalgia into their “sass and satire” brand of pop-rock. Following a support slot for Two Door Cinema Club and a string of sold-out London dates, the sisters are taking their high-energy show on the road later this month for a select run of UK headline dates as part of Independent Venue Week.
