Sheffield’s premier city-centre celebration, Float Along Festival, has officially unveiled its most ambitious lineup to date for its return on Saturday, September 26th. The 2026 edition is set to be a landmark moment for the Steel City, headlined by the anthemic and atmospheric White Lies. After more than a decade of indie dominance, the trio brings their stadium-sized sound to an intimate city-wide circuit, anchoring a bill that perfectly balances established legends with the sharpest new voices in the UK.
Joining the headliners are Dublin’s blistering post-punk outfit Sprints, the theatrical and wiry Opus Kink, and the fast-rising Man/Woman/Chainsaw, who have quickly become a “must-see” on the touring circuit. The first wave of the lineup also features a diverse array of emerging talent, including Your Mate’s Ex, Oslo Twins, Spanish Horses, Maximilian Tanner, and Faint Paint, with plenty more still to be announced.
Taking place across Sheffield’s most beloved independent institutions, including Sidney & Matilda, Corporation, and the Octagon, Float Along continues its mission of supporting the local scene while providing a platform for global sounds. With early bird tickets expected to move fast, the festival is cementing its status as the ultimate destination for discovering your next favourite band in the heart of the North.
