The song itself is sharp, funny, and furious all at once, calling out the manufactured outrage machine with lyrics like “have you ever wondered why a trans athlete playing high school basketball is headline news? can you name a single time an immigrant actually stole your job?” It is the kind of writing that makes you laugh and then immediately makes you angry because he is absolutely right.
