The IINAG team has done the heavy lifting and curated this week’s essential new tracks so you don’t have to. Check out our picks below, then head over to the playlist for the full deep dive.
Gurriers – Nobody’s Coming to Save You
Gurriers aren’t here to hold your hand on Nobody’s Coming to Save You; they’re more interested in watching the world burn. This track is just a straight-up punch to the gut, mixing these jagged, chaotic guitars with a heavy bassline that honestly triggers a bit of a panic attack. The vocals are pure, with a sneering attitude; it feels completely right for how messy everything is right now. There’s absolutely nothing radio-friendly about it, just raw, gritty noise. It’s the exact sound of a band that is refusing to play nice – Lauren Moreton
Panic Shack – grin & bear it
Pride of Wales Panic Shack fire another punk-rock rocket into the stratosphere with Grin & Bear It, a track that they’ve had in their back pockets for a while but have finally produced and released to the delight of mosh pit dwellers everywhere. Snarling as they point their ire in the direction of the endless grind of daily life, theirs and producer Ross Orton’s hard work has paid off with a scrappy, punchy and satisfyingly angry punk rock tune. – Kai Marshall
Blondshell – Heart Has To Work So Hard
Blondshell is back with a new single, “Heart Has To Work So Hard”, her first release since 2025’s If You Asked For A Picture. Themed around betrayal between friends, the track leans into the same moody, grunge-soaked sound that made If You Asked For A Picture so compelling. Sabrina Teitelbaum is at her sharpest when she has a grievance to get off her chest, whether aimed at family, friends, or lovers, and lines like “I tell you how I feel, and you’d think I’d told a joke” and “I turn to face the lake, and you turn to twist the knife” are particularly cutting examples. Her raw, aching vocals carry the emotion effortlessly, and the track is further proof of Blondshell’s ability to thrive in emotional chaos and turn personal conflict into something deeply relatable and anthemic. – Henry Dunn
Mould – Lucid
Fresh off a premiere by Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 6 Music, Mould’s new track Lucid shows the Bristol trio pushing straight into much heavier territory. They’ve managed to capture that crazy, raw energy that’s made them one of the UK’s most talked-about new live acts right now. The song beautifully blends a tense, wiry post-punk vibe with massive, unforgettable hooks that just stick in your head. It’s got a bit of weight to it, but the driving melody keeps it totally captivating; the perfect proof that this band is seriously levelling up. – Katie Macbeth
Opus Kink – The Sweet Goodbye
If you’ve been looking for something that sounds like a chaotic, late-night jazz club crashing headfirst into a punk rock riot, Opus Kink just released the answer. The Sweet Goodbye is an absolute trip, blending filthy, swaggering brass sections with a sleazy groove that’s impossible to ignore. The vocals are deliciously unhinged, half-spoken, half-howled, sounding like a wild storyteller. It’s sweaty, theatrical, and brilliantly weird, proving once again why these guys are one of the most exciting, genre-bending live bands tearing up the UK right now. – Lauren Moreton
