Today, NYC-based group Amiture Music announce their new EP, ‘2 Women,’ out October 30 on Dots Per Inch. The follow-up to the band’s self titled LP is a revelry of avant-rock music: guitars build up, rise, dissipate; rhythms fluctuate between the familiar and the unexpected; and vocals equally blend with and contrast the instrumentation.
Alongside the announcement comes the propulsive single “Idela.” A duet with Eliana Glass, the track bounces and rocks through unusual time signatures and pop melodies to create an abstract yet piercing rock song about disassociation while showcasing the marriage of Whitescarver and Glass’s haunting voices.
The latest offering from New York’s Amiture Music pushes a love for dynamic shifts and carefully composed songwriting—previously seen in their debut LP from March, 2026—to a new height. Showcasing the bands’ knack for psychologically piercing lyrics and abstract yet vivid song structure, 2 Women presents a series of post-rock episodes, each song investigating both a different formal experiment and carefully examined interpersonal dynamic as the narrative core.
