Irish indie-rockers Pillow Queens have today returned with their new single Suffer, coinciding with their UK and Europe tour which is taking place this month.
An enthralling, anthemic, drum-driven track, Suffer explores the turbulent emotions that are experienced when a once-cherished relationship begins to break down, capturing the ache of heartbreak and the struggle to let go and move on – taking inspiration from the likes of Lana Del Rey, Alt-J, Hozier and more.
Speaking of creating the track in their home city, the band states:
We wrote it in the depths of winter at our rehearsal studio in Dublin, and the cold really penetrates the song.
The band have already toured North America, the UK, and Europe, and have played at SXSW and supported Phoebe Bridgers in Glasgow. Pillow Queens’ second album, Leave The Light On, was nominated for the Irish Album Of The Year award and led to their debut in-person late-night TV performance on the Late Late Show with James Corden.
