Soulful pop-rock powerhouse Erin Greider releases the notable track Pockets. It begins softly, with only piano as the main instrument. However, the sound evolves rapidly into multiple enchanting directions, introducing elements such as drums and guitars. The vocals have an air of vulnerability, as well as confidence.
Pockets marks the first instance of Erin genuinely acknowledging her pain and expressing regret for not revealing her emotions to someone. The lyric, ‘should have kept my hands out of my pockets so you could hold them’, embodies this sentiment. It may seem elementary, but confessing ‘I care a lot’ can be truly daunting.
