Today, Charly Bliss have unveiled ‘Calling You Out,’ the latest catchy single from their upcoming new album, FOREVER, set to be released on August 16 by Lucky Number. The track is accompanied by a music video directed by Adam Kolodny, drawing inspiration from the Beastie Boys’ ‘Shake Your Rump’ video from 1989 and Wong Kar-wai’s 1995 film Fallen Angels.
Of the track, Eva Hendrix explains:
Falling in love with someone wonderful, I didn’t know how to not fall into the same bullshit that was part of all my previous relationships – namely jealousy. I wasted a lot of time at the beginning trying to poke holes, to see if it was all for real. I think I was trying to protect myself, I’ll find the catch before the catch finds me! But there was no catch.
Last month saw the band announce FOREVER with a video for lead single, ‘Nineteen’. Jack Antonoff expressed his admiration for the track on social media, describing it as ‘outstanding’. Additionally, NPR and Rolling Stone were amongst those to praise the single, adding to the excitement surrounding the band’s new music.
In support of FOREVER, Charly Bliss are set to head out on a North American headline tour in September and October, tickets are set to go on sale tomorrow, 31st May, at 10am local time via the band’s website.
