Labelled as one of Classic Rock’s “Ones to Watch” for 2025, Manchester’s Dirty Blonde today release their anthemic new single, ‘Polly.’ The single’s release arrives accompanied by the announcement of Dirty Blonde’s upcoming EP, Looking for Trouble, set for release on April 17th.

“Polly” is a sapphic anthem driven by grunge-inspired guitar riffs, raw emotional energy, and a sincere exploration of love’s unpredictable thrills. The track features genuine storytelling and its instrumental feels straight out of the 90s.

Speaking on ‘Polly’, the band state,

We wrote ‘Polly’ about that messy, crying on your bathroom floor, unpredictable side of falling in love that no one talks about. Someone can give you all the reassurance in the world but how do you know that it won’t all come crashing down?

The track arrives accompanied by its visual, enabling Dirty Blonde’s DIY skills to shine with vibrant yellow lyric captions, inspired by Arab-Australian artist Sarah Bahbah.

Dirty Blonde’s new EP, Looking For Trouble, is set to showcase their signature sound of authenticity. Previous single, ‘Northern Twang’ is its centrepiece – a powerful matriarch anchoring the collection. A cathartic experience for the band, Looking For Trouble will allow Dirty Blonde to remind people that women in rock are not just participants in the scene — they are redefining it.

Dirty Blonde are set to head out on the road this month, co-headlining an Independent Venue Week tour alongside Lizzie Esau, before playing Liverpool’s Sound City in May.
