Recently, The Norelli Family Foundation and Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock Teen Centers joined forces with rock ‘n’ roll legends Slash, Alice Cooper, and Calico Cooper to create an unforgettable track called “Freewheelin’.” This powerhouse collaboration is a celebration of music, energy, and timeless rock artistry. It’s from the Grammy-nominated Rock for Children album Solid Rock Revival.
Calico Cooper takes the lead on most of the vocals, infusing the track with her unique style, while Alice Cooper steps in with his signature flair to add extra grit and edge. And of course, Slash does what he does best, sending the song soaring to new heights with his effortlessly smooth guitar riffs and electrifying solos.
The music video for “Freewheelin’” is a vibrant animated work of art, featuring the trio riding bikes down a deserted road. Calico takes the center stage with her bold makeup, Alice Cooper cruises along with a snake coiled around him, and Slash rocks his iconic black top hat and Les Paul guitar. The imagery is nothing short of legendary, so striking, in fact, that it would make an incredible poster for kids (or anyone who loves a good rock ‘n’ roll aesthetic).
Youngster or not, this is a great song with a catchy hook and some seriously good playing. “Freewheelin’” off of Solid Rock Revival could win Best Children’s Music Album at the 2025 GRAMMY Awards on February 2nd! For now, watch the lyric video via YouTube:
Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock offers free music, dance, arts, and vocational training programs for young people aged 12-20 in Phoenix, Mesa, and soon, Goodyear, Arizona. These programs provide a creative and supportive space where teens can explore their passions and develop valuable skills for the future.
The Norelli Family Foundation, a charitable organization based in Central Florida, was established in December 2013 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. With a primary focus on initiatives that are “All About Kids,” the foundation is dedicated to enriching the lives of children and supporting a broad range of social, human services, and other charitable causes.
