Brighton-based rockers Fever Rouge have announced their upcoming EP, Feed The Villain and released the title track.
Known for their energetic live performances, Fever Rouge blend elements of post-punk, indie, rock, and alt-rock. They have built a reputation for sold-out headline shows and have drawn comparisons to acts such as King Krule, Radiohead, Bloc Party, and The Stone Roses. The new EP is expected to highlight their raw and dynamic sound.
Produced by Oliver Hughes, Josh Harrison, and Louis Spanton, ‘Feed The Villain’ explores themes of human nature, particularly the tension between impulse and morality. The track features a driving bass riff and swirling psychedelic guitars, building suspense before reaching an intense, explosive chorus. The song culminates in a layered wall of fuzzy guitar tones and driving intensity.
The band describes the track as both a celebration of indulgence and a critique of excess and power. They state: “The song at face value is a celebration of indulgence, but it’s also a critique. In today’s world, selfishness is too common—whether in politics, corporate greed, or daily life. The EP explores the different sides of the ‘villain,’ challenging listeners to recognize and confront it before it’s too late.”
Fever Rouge have received early press support from Mystic Sons and It’s All Indie. Their live performances have included sold-out shows at Brighton’s Green Door Store and The Prince Albert, as well as appearances at The Alternative Escape and Pub in the Park. They have also supported acts such as The Molotovs, Pleasure Inc, Mouth Culture, Die Twice, and McFly.
Following the release of ‘Feed The Villain’, Fever Rouge will begin their Villain Tour in April, performing across the UK and Ireland, with additional European dates to follow. The band is also scheduled to play at this year’s Wilderness Festival.
