Interview with Vivid Vertigo


What started as a group of friends with Rock n Roll dreams hanging out in the garage; evolved into a project of 4 hungry emerging local artists hoping to bring something new to the scene with a wide spectrum of influences they pull it all together. We wrote our new record Our Disclosure all together from our experiences it’s one of those records that has impact and is relatable from start to finish.

How long have you been making music?
Collectively we’ve all been playing music for about 10 years

What genre would you consider your music to be?
Rock, Indie

What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
For all of us collectively music has been something that’s there no matter what you’re going through and can help someone and connect with people that’s the biggest joy of playing music.

What are your biggest musical influences?
Paramore, Foo Fighters, Flyleaf, Third Eye Blind and so much more.

Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
Independent

What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
I think for all of us is getting over the fears and self doubt to just let it flow I think all artist can be their own worst critic.

How many songs or albums have you released to date?
With our new lineup 10

Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
Our Disclosure our debut album is something that means a lot to us our guitarist and drummer Andrew and Nick Clayton lost their Dad Chris Clayton to COVID-19 and he was a big supporter of the band and cowrote a couple of the songs. He was a big supporter of the band. This record touches on a lot of subjects that everyone can relate to in some way.

Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
We will be working on an acoustic EP, and another record within the next year or so alot of big plans for all of us in Vivid Vertigo
