Exciting news from the Sea Girls camp – their fresh single Young Strangers just dropped this November 17th, and it’s a taste of what’s to come from their highly anticipated new album (for now titled Album 3) set for release next year under their independent label, Alt. Records.

But there’s more! The band is not just dropping new tunes; they’re hitting the road with a UK & Ireland tour in March 2024. Plus, they’re joining forces with Louis Tomlinson for a special performance at The O2 on the very day their single is released.

Young Strangers is a testament to Sea Girls’ skill at crafting catchy, thoughtful indie pop tunes. This track is not just a melody to your ears; it’s a journey from darkness to light, mirroring the overarching theme of their upcoming album. Frontman Henry Camamile describes the song as a story of connection and realisation between two people who, despite being strangers, find common ground in their shared experiences and aspirations.

The creation of ‘Young Strangers’ is also a tale in itself. Teaming up with the talented Kid Harpoon, known for his work on Harry Styles’ Grammy-winning album ‘Harry’s House’ and collaborations with big names like Miley Cyrus and Florence & The Machine, the songwriting process was a blend of familiarity and fresh energy. Henry’s experience working with Kid Harpoon in LA was like reuniting with an old friend, full of shared enthusiasm and creative sparks.

For those ready to experience Sea Girls live, their ‘The Young Strangers Tour’ in 2024 is something to look forward to. They’re set to play at some fresh venues, including London’s KOKO – a place that holds a special spot in their musical journey as mentioned in their fan-favourite song Transplant.

And for the collectors out there, Sea Girls is offering a Special Edition signed vinyl of their upcoming album, featuring photos from these upcoming tour dates. Pre-order here.

Weekends & Workdays out now

Sea Girls are back with a fresh track, Weekends & Workdays, and it’s everything we’ve been waiting for. Released on 21st September, the single marks the inauguration of their very own label, Alt. Records, in collaboration with Believe. And trust us, it’s a banger!

The track is a testament to a band that’s truly found its groove. With its catchy pop hooks and lyrics that radiate positivity, Weekends & Workdays is more than just a song; it’s a message. Henry Camamile, the band’s frontman and chief songwriter, delves deep into the essence of the song, saying,

‘Keep your head up’ isn’t just a phrase of encouragement. It’s about the relentless pace of today’s world, where 24/7 social media, online scams, and global instability can be overwhelming. The song captures that moment when a friend tells you to pause, enjoy life, and not let the world grind you down.

The magic behind the track? The Nocturns, the up-and-coming creative duo who’ve previously worked with the likes of Tom Grennan and Lauv, took the production reins. And if you’re a fan of music videos with a twist, you’re in for a treat. Shot in the picturesque Margate, the video features a surprise appearance from John Lydon and some unexpected rain showers that led to some sandy mishaps.

But that’s not all! If you’re looking to catch Sea Girls live, they’re gearing up to support Louis Tomlinson at the iconic London O2 Arena on 17th November. And if their recent show-stopping performances at UK festivals like Reading and Leeds are anything to go by, you’re in for an electrifying experience.

Reflecting on their journey, it’s evident that Weekends & Workdays is another feather in Sea Girls’ cap. Their unique ability to weave personal stories with universal themes has garnered them a loyal fanbase. Their 2022 UK headline tour, which saw them rocking the stage at London’s Alexandra Palace, and their previous chart-topping albums Open Up Your Head and Homesick, are a testament to their growing legacy.
