Chris Kage and Langhorne Slim have teamed up for a soulful gospel folk song titled “We Stand Free.” The song is all about peace and love after going through suffering and feeling lost in life. It’s a spiritual anthem of gratitude and freedom. It’s about the ups and downs of life, but always coming back to the feeling of being free to be. The song features a gospel choir for its choruses and a unique hand drum section. These elements set the song apart from other songs in similar genres. The lyrics are gorgeous, some of Rock the Pigeon’s favorites are:
“Some days I’m running like mighty steamboat engine
Some days I’m just doin the best I can
Some days when I can’t move, I stop and listen to the groove
Cause I’m free right where I stand”
