Alexa Louise flew to Nashville after getting fired from her first 9 to 5 job to work with Tone Def (Briston Maroney, The Moss, Hana Eid, Gatlin) on her first indie-rock single, titled Professional. It’s characterized by strong electric guitar patterns. A cool rhythm is created by up-tempo drums. The vocals are stunning, really bringing the song’s message home.
From beginning to end, Professional carries a sense of angst and brutal honesty. It explores the complexities of working a 9-5 job as a token Gen-Zer: including work crushes, NDAs, and various conversations around the water cooler.
