Singer-songwriter Shannen Bamford and producer Uri Kleinman join forces to deliver a pared-down version of Dua Lipa’s Hallucinate. Its bass line sounds exceptional, setting the pace exactly right. The vocals are unparalleled and when layered, they generate such a lush sound that no synthesizer is required. There’s guitar, though, but mostly to fill in the background somewhat.
It’s exciting to observe Shannen branching out and steering away from her usual chill dream pop style. This type of music suits her brilliantly, and frankly, we’re eager to hear more in this vein. Uri also deserves recognition, as his expertise significantly bolsters the quality of the music.
