Vendela is what happens when Transylvanian and Scandinavian blood mix: a cold-hearted and soul-thirsty vampire viking. She releases her new single, Dead or Something. First, let’s talk about the vocals, which are some of the most unique I’ve ever heard. They have such a cool raw, yet poppy edge to them. This instrumental, driven primarily by piano, flows so well. The samples used are also brilliant.
Dead or Something describes the feeling of being so numb and void that you would wish someone would hurt you in order to feel something. With a very low budget and a team of 3, they shot the music video in -20°C weather for four days.
