As the Covid pandemic tumultuously raged on, SWiiMS emerged as Canadian indie darlings. Their latest single, Given To Me, has amazing guitar elements that blow new light into the darkness. The drums are punchy, giving the general dreamy atmosphere some edge. The chorus has an undertone of catchiness.
Given To Me illustrates how to let go of reluctance and slowly open up to someone who you still don’t know that well. The lyrics are brilliantly written, and represent SWiiMS’ identity as a band.
The animated music video that accompanies the song is in keeping with its theme. We appreciate the style used. It proves SWiiMS’ commitment to releasing a quality product.
