Ashley Elle’s new sorrow-filled single, Save Us, continues her sad-girl pop roots. Its beat is similar to a heartbeat and provides some good rhythmic support. The melodies, while largely in the background, deserve a mention for their uniqueness. The vocals are bittersweet, but that doesn’t make them any less convincing.
Save Us explores the very relatable emotional rollercoaster of wanting to be with someone who continually hurts and gaslights you into staying. The lyrics speak for themselves, and perhaps you recognize yourself in them.
