Joe la panic is a singer-songwriter and DJ from Montpellier. She releases her new single, Jules et Jim. It features super-cool disco-pop instrumentals, similar to Dua Lipa, but with a more organic and less pronounced commercial feel. The chorus slaps, the groove there sounds really catchy. As Joe sings, she uses beaming tones to drench you in the French lyrics.
Jules et Jim rewrites François Truffaut’s film, and behind its love triangle story lies a criticism of male rivalry. It reflects empowerment in multiple forms.
